This is something I would want to do for my winter break….
When I was in 7th grade, my father bought a vineyard in Fresno. All of us went to Fresno to see it. At first, I thought oh, cool.I didn’t know it was our vineyard because we go there often to work. I never liked it at first because it was so hard and then later I got used to it. My brother and I use to get mad at each other over a short rows. As I got older, I kept asking dad could I drive the tractor. He said ,” No” I was really pissed and told him driving in a tractor looks so easy and I’m doing a lot harder than yours . I pulled each weeds, wrapped the branches on a wire in each rows. When its time to irrigate, I would freak out because dad said, ” there’s snake and I actually saw it , gopher, cyotes and baby peacock or quail. I get scare to put my hands in the water valve to open so it can let the water go through. When its time to be picked, its a lot of work than irrigating because your bodies need to bend a lot to pick up rolls of raisins into the bin. We had to hurry because it get slower when the day comes with hot humid. At then end of working, it felts so good because we finished our work for the community . I learned how hard it is to be a farmer. It teach us to be in good work ethic.
